Terms of Service

Last updated October 14, 2026

These terms cover your use of Horror House. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.

Who can join

You must be at least 13 years old. Members under 18 see content warnings before films rated NC-17 or unrated. You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe.

Your content

You own what you post. By posting it, you give Horror House a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and share it on the service (for example, on film pages, in feeds, and in share cards). The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for reviews you choose to keep up anonymously.

Community guidelines

Be critical of films, not of people. No harassment, threats, or bullying.
No hate speech or attacks based on identity.
Tag spoilers — mark the whole review, or wrap passages in ||double bars||.
No spam, scams, or self-promotion that isn't a genuine review or list.
No sexual content involving minors, ever, and no non-consensual intimate imagery.
Don't post content you don't have the rights to.

Anyone can report a review, list, or profile. Moderators may dismiss a report, warn the member, remove content, or suspend the account. You'll get a notification when action is taken on your content.

Pro subscriptions

Pro costs $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year, billed in advance through Stripe and renewing automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings → Manage subscription; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Payments aren't refundable except where the law requires. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before any price change.

No ads, affiliate links

Horror House doesn't show ads. Some "Where to Watch" links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission when you buy through them. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Copyright

Film data and images come from TMDB and OMDb and belong to their owners. If you believe something on Horror House infringes your copyright, see our DMCA policy.

Ending things

You can delete your account any time in Settings. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.

Disclaimers

Horror House is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running and accurate but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; if a change is significant we'll let you know in the app. Questions: the Report link on any review, list, or profile.
